No. We work alongside your primary care doctor. Your PCP handles routine care and screenings; we go deeper into root causes like hormones, nutrition and inflammation, with more time per visit.
Getting Started
No. You can book chiropractic care or integrative medicine directly, without a referral from another doctor. If you have recent imaging or lab results, bring them along so we can review them.
Yes. Many patients come to us because they don't have answers yet. We start by listening, then use an exam and, when needed, lab testing to find what's behind your symptoms.
Your first chiropractic visit includes a conversation about your health history and goals, a full exam and possibly X-rays if needed. If Dr. Campo finds that you need treatment, you'll get your first adjustment that same day, so you don't have to wait for relief. For integrative medicine, your first visit is a consultation that may include ordering labs. Treatment can absolutely begin that initial day too, but it is patient specific and depends on what they need.
Plan on about 30 minutes for a first chiropractic visit and about the same 30 minutes for an integrative medicine consultation, although depending on your goals and questions, maybe longer. Follow-up visits are shorter.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Bring your ID, insurance card, a list of medications and supplements, and any recent imaging or lab results. You can fill out new patient forms ahead of time to save time.
We do our best to see new and existing patients quickly, including same-day visits when the schedule allows. Call (602) 595-0015 to check today's openings.
Monday 8am–6pm, Wednesday and Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–12pm. Tuesdays Dr. Campo is out on large-animal house calls. We're at 4010 E. Bell Rd. #103, Phoenix, AZ 85032.
We treat back and neck pain, sciatica, headaches, joint pain, sports injuries and posture problems with chiropractic care, and gut health, hormone imbalance, fatigue, sleep problems and weight concerns with integrative medicine.
Dr. Chris has the ability to take X-rays, and during the exam he determines if you need them or not.
Yes. You can book integrative medicine appointments online, or call (602) 595-0015. Chiropractic appointments are scheduled by calling or emailing us on our contact form.
Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, so we can offer the time to another patient.
Yes, many of our integrative medicine appointments can be done from the comfort of your home. We offer convenient video visits for weight-loss, peptide therapy, sick visits, follow-up appointments and lab reviews. Some appointments may require blood work or lab results before a virtual visit. Our team will let you know when that's needed ahead of time. Chiropractic appointments require an in-person visit, as hands-on care is an essential part of treatment.

Any prescription called into the pharmacy is based on the patient's insurance coverage. We do offer Testosterone injections in the office as well. Any therapy a patient receives that is deemed medically necessary, a patient can submit a letter for reimbursement to their insurance, and I can provide a letter of medical necessity to them.
Wellness IV therapy is typically not covered by insurance, but you may be able to use your HSA or FSA funds to help cover the cost.
If your IV therapy is considered medically necessary, we can provide a letter of medical necessity for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement depend on your individual plan and are not guaranteed.
Yes, HSA and FSA cards can be used for most chiropractic and many integrative medicine services. Check with your plan administrator for specific items.
Yes, we offer care packages and membership options for Integrative Medicine patients who need ongoing care. These options can help lower your overall cost of treatment. Ask our team about available programs and pricing.
About Our Practice
A chiropractor focuses on the spine, joints and nervous system, using adjustments and hands-on care to relieve pain and improve movement. An integrative medicine provider, here a board-certified nurse practitioner, looks at your whole health through labs, hormones, nutrition, IV therapy and medications when needed.
Pain and health problems are often connected. Back pain can be worse with inflammation, and fatigue or weight gain can make recovery slower. Having Dr. Campo and Meradith McCortney, FNP-BC, under one roof means both sides of the problem get treated, and your care team talks to each other.
Yes. Many patients use both, and it's often the most effective approach. Depending on the schedule, you can book an adjustment and an integrative service such as IV therapy on the same day.
Chiropractic care is provided by Dr. Chris Campo, D.C. Integrative medicine is provided by Meradith McCortney, FNP-BC, a board-certified family nurse practitioner.
Yes. Dr. Campo also provides chiropractic care for horses and other animals, including large-animal house calls on Tuesdays.
Chiropractic Care
Yes. Chiropractors are Doctors of Chiropractic (D.C.). They complete a four-year doctoral program after college, pass national board exams and are licensed by the state. They don't prescribe medication or perform surgery; their focus is the spine, joints and nervous system.
For many people, yes, especially for low back pain, neck pain and some types of headaches, where research supports chiropractic care as an effective, drug-free option. Results depend on the problem, so we'll tell you honestly after your exam whether we think we can help.
Most people feel little or no discomfort, and many feel relief right away. Some notice mild soreness for a day, similar to after a workout. We also offer gentler techniques, like the Activator method, if you prefer.
That sound is gas being released from the fluid in your joint when it moves. It's the same thing that happens when you crack your knuckles. It isn't bones cracking, and not every adjustment makes a sound.
Yes. Chiropractic care is considered very safe when provided by a licensed chiropractor. Before any adjustment, Dr. Campo reviews your health history and examines you to make sure it's right for you.
Often, yes, with adjustments to the technique. For osteoporosis, we use gentle, low-force methods. Let us know about any conditions, surgeries or medications at your first visit so we can tailor your care.
It depends on the problem and how long you've had it. Many people notice improvement within a few visits, while long-standing issues take longer. After your exam, we'll recommend a plan and check your progress along the way.
At first, visits are usually closer together to get your pain under control. As you improve, they spread out. Some patients come in monthly for maintenance; that's your choice.
Follow-up adjustments usually take about 15–20 minutes. Your first visit takes longer because it includes your history and exam.
Often, yes. A pinched nerve in the neck or back can cause sharp pain, numbness or tingling. Adjustments and spinal decompression can relieve pressure on the nerve, and we'll tell you if you need imaging or a referral.
Often, yes. Jaw pain, clicking and tension can be linked to the neck and upper back. Gentle adjustments and soft-tissue work can ease TMJ symptoms.
A chiropractor focuses on the spine and joints, using adjustments to restore movement and relieve pain. A physical therapist focuses on exercise and rehab to rebuild strength. You don't have to choose: we offer both adjustments and physiotherapy, including EMS, kinesio taping, ultrasound and cold laser.
For most everyday back and neck pain, a chiropractor is a good place to start, and research supports it as a drug-free first option. See a medical doctor or go to the ER right away if pain follows a serious injury, or comes with fever, unexplained weight loss, weakness, or loss of bladder or bowel control. If we find something outside our scope, we'll refer you.
Chiropractic care isn't the right fit for broken bones, severe osteoporosis, certain spinal or blood vessel conditions, active infections, or signs of a medical emergency. That's why every new patient gets a full history and exam first. If something needs a different specialist, we'll tell you.
Mild soreness, tiredness or a slight headache for a day or so is normal, like after a workout. Drink water and stay gently active. Call us if soreness lasts more than a couple of days. Seek emergency care for sudden severe headache, dizziness, trouble speaking, vision changes, or numbness or weakness.
Massage works on muscles and soft tissue to relax tension. Chiropractic care works on the joints and spine to restore movement, and often includes soft-tissue work too. For tight, painful areas, the two work well together.
Dr. Campo uses several techniques depending on what's comfortable and effective for you, including Diversified adjustments, Drop Table adjustments and the Activator Method, a gentle, low-force option.
No. Most people come more often at first to get out of pain, then less often as they improve. Some choose occasional maintenance visits to stay feeling good, but that's always your choice.
Often, yes, once you're cleared by your surgeon. We'll ask about your surgery and adjust our techniques, or focus on nearby areas, to keep you safe.
Yes. We see patients of all ages, including student athletes and expecting moms, using gentle techniques suited to each person.
Integrative Medicine
Integrative and functional medicine combines conventional medical care with evidence-informed therapies like nutrition, hormone support and IV therapy. Our functional medicine approach looks for the root cause of your symptoms and treats it, instead of only managing them. It works alongside your regular doctor, not in place of them.
They overlap. Functional medicine focuses on finding root causes through detailed testing. Holistic medicine looks at the whole person. Integrative medicine does both, while also using conventional treatments like prescriptions when they're the right tool. Naturopathy is a separate field with its own licensing.
No. Alternative medicine replaces conventional care; integrative medicine works with it. We use lab testing, prescriptions when appropriate and evidence-informed therapies together.
It's most worth it if you've been told your labs are normal but you still don't feel well, or you want more time and a more personal plan than a typical office visit allows. We'll tell you after your consultation whether we think we can help.
Integrative care is provided by Meradith McCortney, FNP-BC, a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Nurse practitioners are advanced-practice clinicians who can examine you, order labs, diagnose and prescribe medication.
Both. Many patients come in with chronic fatigue, gut or hormone issues, but others simply want more energy, better sleep or help staying healthy as they age.
Standard lab ranges are wide, and many routine panels don't check things like full thyroid function, hormones or nutrient levels. We look at more detailed testing and at how your results fit together.
Often, yes. We look at hormones, thyroid, nutrients, food sensitivities and gut health together, which can reveal causes that get missed.
Yes. Food plays a big role in inflammation, energy, gut health and weight, so nutrition guidance is part of most plans, along with other treatments when needed.
We start with your symptoms, history and lab results, then recommend only what fits, whether that's hormone therapy, IV therapy, peptides, nutrition changes or a combination. You'll always know why each piece is in your plan.
With your permission, we share findings and treatment plans with your other providers so everyone is on the same page. Bring a list of your specialists and medications to your first visit.
We offer a range of lab panels, including hormones, thyroid, nutrients, inflammation markers and food sensitivities, ordered based on your symptoms.
We offer Food Sensitivity IgG Testing: Multiplex ELISA-based IgG test using Nano-Bead technology, which measures your immune system's IgG antibody response to 286 foods across 13 food groups using advanced laboratory technology.
These results can help guide a personalized plan that may include nutrition changes, supplements, and lifestyle recommendations to support your digestive health.
Some panels, like blood sugar and cholesterol, need 8–12 hours of fasting. We'll tell you exactly what to do when we order your labs.
Yes. Meradith McCortney, FNP-BC, is a board-certified nurse practitioner who can prescribe medications, including hormone therapy and GLP-1 weight loss medications, when they're appropriate for you.
It depends on the treatment. Some people feel a difference from IV therapy within a day. Hormone therapy and nutrition changes often take a few weeks to a few months. We'll set clear expectations and check in along the way.
We use treatments with scientific support, like lab-guided hormone therapy, FDA-approved weight loss medications and nutrition. We'll always tell you what the research does and doesn't show for any option we suggest.
Yes. Our integrative services, including hormone therapy, weight loss, IV therapy and peptides, are for both men and women.
